    Fundamental Truth?

I have found (speaking for myself) that if I leave the Stag in an undriven state for a number of weeks something or the other goes wrong.

I attest to the fact when driven on a regular basis my Stag is as good as gold! as soon as I leave it for a few weeks something goes wrong. Is this your experience as well?. When I first found this ,I promised myself to regularly drive her. Nothing went wrong for over 2 years!! As soon as I resort back to neglecting her, KAPUT!

Sukh, they are female don't forget, they need constant attention and money spent on them. Even just a quick slap on the rear wing and some encouragement

          You are so right.

Neglect and indifference is asking for trouble.

They like a fuss, relish attention and money spent on them, respond favourably to keeping them well oiled and lubricated, and regular, hard, exhausting, exercise.

          And as for Stags...

          Regards

This reminds me of a guy with a TR6 who was in the local Stoke group. He said he never dared go anywhere in it as it always broke down. He ended up using it so rarely it became a self fulfilling prophesy. Eventually we persuaded him to take it on the Lakes weekend (which usually involves 400-500 miles ) on the basis there would be loads of people available to fix it if it went wrong.
              It did. A lot.
However, there were enough people with enough bits to get it going again each time, and it behaved itself on the way home, and continued to do so as he had enough faith in it to keep using it after that
Sadly the car proved to be more reliable than the owner, who passed away the following year
I am expecting a few gremlins to appear on my Stag when it is awoken from its slumber next Weekend, but I shall take it out and give it a good thrashing anyway, often the best way to kill gremlins!

Oh Dear - I have not been able to drive mine for over a week now as I am having trouble finding a replacement Alternator.
Does that mean that when I finally put her back together again she will throw a "wobbly" and refuse to start or surprise me with some other fault because she has not been taken out in the sun and paraded in front of her many admirers?
