Another succesful day

Thanks to DaveB for another day spent improving my car. I used my new syphon pump to drain the coolant, very easy, then I removed the fixed temp thermostatic switch from my ally rad and replaced it with a Revotec variable temp unit. The next job was to replace the original fan wiring with the new loom on the revotec controller, at the same time we fitted and old style Kenlowe override switch and Dave figured out how to use it with the Revotec controller. Another day well spend & rounded off with a pint, lovely.

This is the pump kit I bought, it even comes with a dipstick hose for draining the sump. The other items are available from the Revotec website.

Why not get a length of silcone pipe, fill it with water and then put you thumb over one end, put the other end in your rad and then making sure that the other end is below the bottom of the rad before releasing your thumb?

Probably because I've had a mouthful in the past and can afford the £13 to avoid any repetition.
