Wessex and New Forest Triumph Run

[ Just a note to say how good the new forrest run was this year 125 Triumphs Started from the Avon Country Park with a coffee stop in Brockenhurst and a final destination on Priory Quay Christchurch. Stags were well supported by the wessex group and the TR register had TR's 2 through 8 out in force. the TSSC organised the Event and congratulations go to Trevor carlisle and his team for their superb organisation with tulip directions and an army of marshalls at strategic points to smooth 125 cars through awkward cross roads. The stag judged best was a Saphire Blue Mk 1.5 owned by Mike Goolding an soc member from Farnham ( not a forum user )

The day was dry but a cold wind kept the coats on I enclose a few pictures of the stags.

I thought this run was going to be for Drive it day, like last year

Was looking forward to that, so will have to think of something else now.

If today's was as good as last years then should have been good fun.

I thought I would use mine for the other thing I committed too that day, but the bl**dy thing refused to start........again

This run tends to be held the weekend before drive it day - I think because there are always too many other things happening on the day itself
We've been for the last few years but couldn't make it this year, due to the fact that I hadn't had time to investigate a fairly substantial looking water leak, and that I'm now getting too big to actually get into the Stag in the garage Looks like I'll be SORNing the Stag again from the end of this month, although I'll hope to be out and about in it again with *two* back seat passengers before the summer's over.

Glad to hear it went well though, Mike's sapphire blue Stag has won the trophy a couple of times in the past - he usually makes it to the TR Register's invited classics night at IBM Hursley too.

I too am sorry to have missed this run,it was great last year. I didn't know it was it was even on.

Next year I will advertise it on the forum in advance as I seem to get an automatic notification there were still at least 15 stags there.
