Hi Tim, thats what I thought, tho they do say the newer fan is equivalent - I'll see if I can get a price for the bigger one.

    Cheers

I remember my Mum going ballistic, when she found my 3 litre Capri cylinder heads in the ovenafter I'd used it to bake on the engine enamel! She wanted to use it to cook the Sunday roast, some people have their priorities all about face!

30 years later she still brings it up and wonders whyI now live half way around the planet!

      regards,

      Raoul

Didn't realise there were new units out, so I could be wrong. My information is about 6 months old so a current 14" unit may well be right. If so, I assume they are cheaper () and I will certainly relook at this. Can you keep me informed, with prices and model numbers if poss)?

        Many thanks

Surely a smaller fan will cool a smaller area of the rad and therefore not be as efficient ?

If the newer fans are more efficient the bigger version will be a better bet and have an improved cooling effect which can't be a bad thing thing! IMHO.

Dave, I've no idea - just going on their reply. I'd agree with your thoughts but maybe a smaller more efficient fan is the equivalent of a larger less efficient fan? I guess theres a downside to covering to much of the rad with fan as well as reduces ram air flow as speed? I'm going to buy one anyway, see how I get on.

            Cheers

ps the dirty header tank in a pail of cleaner in its rightfull place in the kitchen has grown legs. It mysteriously made its way to the garage while I was out.
