    Mesh Wind Deflector

Have a perspex deflector which works fine except I get a lot of reflection on sunny days and the perspex is now a little tired, with summer coming (when I hear you say!) was looking at the mesh one sold by svaworld (www.svaworld.com)- has anyone got one already and how does it compare to perspex please? It's not cheap but might be an option instead of cutting more perspex to shape...

Yes, have one too, from svaworld. I have only tried it out a couple of times at the end of March when we had some decent weather. It works very well and is straight forward to fit and remove. It is also well made.

I have one too, it works very well and seems to be a good quality item. It does not take long to fit / remove and will store in the boot.

I guess you could cut the Perspex centre out leaving a frame to mount a mesh middle section?
The reflections with the Perspex do annoy me too!
              Cheers

                  Hi Steve,
That's interesting, a lot cheaper than the sva world offering and to be honest I didn't like the look of the fit of that (large gaps at the sides) nor the mesh "see all" tonneau cover of that design either. Was your A4 version brand new at that price and if so where from? I prefer to make my own tonneau cover as I intend taking our the rear seating to make a larger storage area and box it in more securely.

The later design doesn't have gap at the sides, I would add a pic but I'm on my phone and not the pc. I'm sure there are some pics in earlier threads if you do a search.

Good stuff thanks Danny, I made my existing perspex screen which looks pretty good though I say it myself, wasn't sure about dyi mesh screen though, particulary what sort of mesh to use, I would prefer black mesh to be honest but it must be possible to buy it somewhere although I havn't looked yet to be honest. It seems from the thread that mesh works very well despite it being "full of holes" so thats the road I'm going down, just got to decide which of the many solutions to do. Thnaks again for the links and photos - very inspiring and clear.

The mesh ones are not without their minus points too! I have a breezebreaker on mine which is great during the day, but if you have it in place at night and you have a bright light behind you, rearward vision is nil! I was trying to park in the pub car park at one of our N&N's last year and there was a light behind the car.a right PITA!

Hi Bernard it was an eBay job, plenty on there.the vertical panel is a perfect fit the horizontal a touch short but would lend itself to a solid horizontal panel.
