Unfortunately not, it will have to come off the car.

      Hi Rob
      Hows the trident?
If it's not too bad might be worth trying some Wynns stop leak,it may take a week or so to work(if it does).Put a search for previous threads on this.

        hi mark.
the tridents fine ashamed to admit not done anything wih it too many oher projects on the go-including restoring the stag.
i think it must be quite bad (the leak i mean) because i am finding fluid on the garage floor dripping from the drivers side boot and the car has'nt been anywhere! why it should start to do it now is a mystery i run the engine occasionaly but thats all.wynns perhaps worth a try if i was using the car but at present not sure it would be circulated to do much.

I've recently stripped and rebuilt the P.St. rack,it seemed a tricky job off the car,if funds allow it may be better all round just to get a recon rack and fit that.

Have you tried using one of the power steering fluids with 'stop leak' additives? There are a few on the market and some actually work!

yeh considering the "stop leak" route, has anyone any experience of what works and what does'nt.

I used the STP one a few years ago, and it worked well for quite some time, certainly worth a try considering how little they cost, but you will need to use the old girl. Martin.

hmmm thats the problem martin wont be on the road for a while yet might have to live with it for a while or bite the bullet and take the rack off and reseal---decisions decisions.
                  thanks for the replies.
