    GGRRRR and really weird

ok this is really freaky, had a dream last night that i could see the ground under the stag as i was driving around, today i have stripped the interior out, seats carpets etc, new on order with Aldridges being delivered next friday, so new carpets and seat foams etc, i stripped it all out then noticed black mastic in the joint of the floor and sill on the drivers side at the side of the seat plinth, strange they didnt use it in the 70's, out came the screwdriver and the wire brush, i now have 6inch section which has rotted through the floor about 3 mm wide and i then checked the passenger side same there, PO had boddged it on both sides flippin mad she has had 2 MOT's and it was never picked up on either, but underneath it just looked like thick underseal now i got to get it welded up with a patch on either side

why do it!!! it's not even an expensive fix, it's now going to put me behind with the jobs i had planned

    sorry guys rant over

Thanks and yep you're right there Mart, it's that small a gap you could fill it with weld, but i will get it cut back to 5 or 6mm and weld a piece in properly, so flippin mad bout it, now another job to do, strip all the bottom and redo it all, a job for the winter, looks like laying it up this winter now, oh well you have to love em though, its all good fun, i've calmed down a bit now lol can you tell

on the plus side, she's looking really good under the carpets original paint etc and floors and glue, flippin loads of it that has stayed there and the carpets have come off it

At my MOT test last week the tester pointed out a dodgy repair on the drivers side floorpan and gave it an advisory, I must admit I hadn't noticed it before, but a line of rust was showing. While it was up in the air fixing the steering rack I gave it a prod and produced a 1 inch by 2 inch hole into the inner sill! The original bodged plating over rust had corroded through.
I applied a wodge of filler and a layer of underseal for now, another job for next winter I think
