      as the post says i was out bit,i know it was not you as the brake kit, was meant for fast cars not rover engine cars,

            Never really understand a lot of these eBay comments.

            You put your bid in at the max price that you are prepared to pay for the item. Thereafter:

            a) If no-one else is prepared to pay that amount, then you get it at the cheapest possible price, i.e. just one increment above the first of the losers, so you're happy.

            b) Someone is prepared to pay more for it, so you lose the item. However, you already decided that you wouldn't have been prepared to pay more anyway, so you're happy.

            Simples!

              Or if its one of mr L C items he removes it at the lastminuet because he wants more for the item (this is the second and last time hehas done this to me .)

                Indeedy, that's the beauty of auctions. Whilst biddling in with a price lower than what you are willing to pay for it can work, it seems to end up in disappointment for both buyers and sellers.

                I know others do this, I either chuck in my value right at the end or put it into a sniping tool and let the dice roll essentially .
