What a shame to see such a good looking car be broken up .Lets make a new law banning scrapping of decent stags (but lets make it just after mine is finished )

I did notice some non standard rocker covers and breathers. It may be rotten but the description of the doors sounds like the rest of the car might be worth saving. I must admit most cars look good on eBay and yes without the sacrafice of a few the majority might survive. I would save it but I think the mrs would send me to the knackers yard if I did

I wish we could Edd, makes me sad to see good Stags destroyed.
Like many cars, in 'fair' condition, they are unfortunately worth more as individual parts than their sum!
There are many of us out there willing to buy second hand parts for that ever so special item we cannot get anywhere else or just to obtain cheap parts to keep our own cars going, and just as many people out there willing to pull them apart and supply us those parts.
At the end of the day many owners face the aweful virdict at the MOT and to reverse years of decay takes dedication, time and money, and the easy way out is to sell their car for parts or to sell cheap for someone else to scrap them.It is an age old problem!
At least for those left the rarity and value will in time increase
