Take out the starter, and stick an old engine shell bearing in the ring gear with the ends of the shell in the teeth and the back resting on the starter hole - tie a wire round it in case you are a clot and drop it in the bell housing.
I'm after a good condition bottom pulley please if anyone's got a spare one kicking around? Price negotiable of course - please pm me. I think they're the same on all models...

Hello Dave. Push the rear of the car against something solid, select first gear and with someone pressing the brake pedal try to release the bolt with a socket and decent length socket wrench.
Hi dave, have you got it loose? As people have said bolt is quiet a low torque and how to lock flywheel up or in gear and brake would probally both do. There maybe some mix-up over discription of these impact tools though, or is it me? When you said impact drill, did you mean hammer drill, impact wrench did you mean impact gun, so many names for so many tools, loll, steve
been out in the rain today got the bolt and pulley of,didnt need the impact wrench that ive just ordered
now to get the spacer behind the viscous coupling machined, as i cant change a fan belt without thaking the rad out
I've always turned the bolt backwards by hand, pushing it in, until a click is felt.... that is the start of the thread so turn it the normal way and it'll pick up the thread normally...
I do this with any bolt that is difficult to start.
