It was me!! I saw you Blue stag when I was parked in South Queensferry and had a look, its very nice! I was driving back home to Brightons when we passed each other! I'm not on the forum often but wanted to check out info on carb issues, so a bit of luck I saw your post. I have had my Stag for 31years and the only real recurring problem has been hot starting of late. I'm working through the suggestions and thought it was sussed after my trouble free start in South Queensferry, but a further stop and coffee at the Hopeton House garden centre meant a much more battery draining restart. I've just been checking vent valve adjustment and found one not quite right and then noticed one of my new carb needle valves passing after I took the pots off for a look. So I am hopeful yet again I might have it sorted!! I'll reply on the forum when I am sure its been fixed with what I've found. The info on here is invaluable.

Glad to hear from you you - I've had my blue stag for just 4 weeks - but I had a green one for the previous 3 years - it went up in smoke............ long story, anyway I'm mobile again.............. Don't think I've ever met you at the Stag club evenings - (second Monday evening each month at the Hawes Inn), pop along one night! There are a number of guys from around who have helped me out on occasions. It was good to get out in the sun with the top down..................... roll on summer such as it is............Comment

"boys" normally, but there are some "enthusiast" partners on occasion. Do you know Andy Phillps from Falkirk (also a white STag) he brings Sara his partner on occasion. Current planning is for the Thirlstane Show on 10 June (I think the Stag night is on the 11th)Comment

Hi Ray , do work in Grangemouth ? Ive seen a white stag parked opposite my garage. Ive a stag in just now for an engine rebuild and hurts to say but mine is in with the gearbox out.Comment
