    Boot not opening fully

    Hi all
My boot was working fine earlier, but now it opens about 18 inches and feels like I would have to force it to lift it anymore, nothing seems in the way.
    Any ideas anyone.
Thanks for any tips in advance.

Mark I think there are rollers which may have sized up, and need a lube?

      Hi Mark

If you think nothing is in the way check out the roller pins on the hinge brackets maybe one has shared off common problem now with age ware&tare etc this will seem to feel that the lid is tight because you do not have the free moment on the roller, use a Light to see insde
      Good Luck

Have you got your tonneau cover open ? It is designed to avoid both opening together, which would foul the paintwork. Sorry if I'm "teaching my Granny...".

          Thanks ,Chris,Steve and RjaHunter
It was the roller seized up as you said, put some chain lube on the roller's and it's fine, sort of strange how it didn't gradually get worse, just all of a sudden.
Forum comes to the rescue again, and thanks Chris also for getting me out of stock with the soft-top stuck in hoodwell.

            Hi Mark
did you notice if the pin that holds the roller in place is starting to bend so the roller is not at the correct angle for the hinge to open smothly, will still opperate but will snap off in time.
What happens is the arm that the roller is attached springs up and damage's the underside of the boot lid
