Hi Andrew, there were two built by GKN I believe as demonstrators for the FF system, both survive, one manual and one auto. One of the owners has been on here but he doesn't appear often. Martin.

There are two 4x4 Stags, one Manual and one Auto. The chap on here has got the manual one. There is also a 4x4 engined Triumph 2000 estate. This is coming to the final stages of a long and involved restoration. I think this is the shortcut, but the site is down at the moment: http://www.standardtriumphcars.blogs...1_archive.html I have been following this since it came up fro sale on ebay and someone flagged it up on here. A couple of years ago now.

Thanks for the replies gents.....a most interesting motor,I'm hoping to visit some Trumf shows this summer, may be I'll see it somewhere. It's all good publicity for our cars to be seen in glossy magazines, increasing their profile and values.Just been reading adverts for Healey 3000's,50 to 60 grand for some, who'd of believed an Austin Healey would be advertised for '80's Aston money!!!!

          Andrew.

It's white as well The 3000s are sluggish and unpleasant to drive too, even in their day they were hard work. Martin.

That's true, and they were tough as old boots, that's why they did well in rallying, but you need two strong friends to help you turn the wheel. Martin.
