I was recently given a photo of a Stag taken back in the 70's, it is of a Dark Blue model with Hard top fitted, it has the 5 spoke Alloys and has (like mine) a Rover V8 engine.
Reasons for asking are that the engine despite being a Rover V8 has the Stag airfilter and box fitted, the guy who gave me the photo said he fitted it and was trying to explain how he did it, this is due to my Stag needing a replacement filter box, I have been trying to decide what to fit between the standard type or as advised by "Robsport" fit something like K and N cone filters...
This family friend who gave me the photo says the original Triumph filter and box is the best option and can be easily fitted with a simple welded adaption, is this correct or advisable? the engine looks fine in the picture but would it run right?
The second reason is that if the car is still on the road and if the owner is interested I can scan it in and send it to Him/Her.
