whats this please?

Hi all, got a hose set from LD today, in it there is a plastic washer about 1" in diameter with lobes on the inside, have taken off all the hoses ready to fit the new ones and not found anything similar, can somebody tell me what its for please? its image 2 on ld web site under part no grh001k

Hi Derek, its the washer that goes on the brass radiator filler plug. Simples

Sounds like the sealing washer to go under the brass filler plug on the top of the rad.

Thanks all, mine had a fibre washer on it, but its been replaced with an elbow as i have a header tank fitted

There is a land rover brass filler plug that can be used as an alternative.... it has a semi captive o-ring instead of the plastic washer you mention.
The early version was slotted across, current version cast - in and short slot
I think this is correct part number:- ERR4686 mostly around £2 on ebay
