    Flasher relay connections

I have just done a daft thing and removed my indicator flasher relay to clean the connections as the indicators were a bit lazy. Not flashing on the off side. I don't want to put the relay back the wrong way around. My car is a 1978 car with Green/grey wire and a green /brown wire. the green/grey has the 12Volts. Which wire do I connect to the L connector on the relay. the relay is 2 pin Lucas marked L and B next to the pins,
I dont want to put a more modern flasher relay on.

Top man Thank You. I've ordered a new flasher. So when it is on I will have to sort out the electrical gremlins such as the offside side lamp working as a hazard light and the nearside headlamp not working. they were all OK before the winter lay up,
i suppose that's what owning a stag is all about.

The indicators are a little lazy unless you go to the more modern relay.

As for the connections L is your Green/Brown and B for the Green/Grey

Hi jagnut and welcome to the forum.

I can't understand your reluctance to fit a modern flasher unit. Originality is fine, but for a vital safety item like this then replacing it with a modern equivalent makes sense IMHO. With 3 lamps on each side and 35+ year old wiring a traditional flasher usually takes a short while to actuate and, when stopped waiting to turn right at night with lights on, and possibly heater and wipers, the indicators slow right down. A modern unit starts instantly and the indicators don't slow down in the above circumstances. To use the modern idiom it's a 'no-brainer'
