Today I replaced the wood trim surrounding the manual gearstick, this was due to the one already fiitted being the original auto trim, then came the problem, I have a rover vitesse 5 speed box and having fitted the manual trim I am no longer able to engage reverse! has anyone else experienced this and did they come up with a modification? I can only assume my options are to refit the auto trim which then has an unsightly gap or I try and resize the circle cutout to allow reverse to be engaged, I could try and fit an additional piece of leather trim to cover the gap on the auto trim but was just wondering if there is another option...

My advice would be to get a piece made to fit - i had a new dash made and it is fantastic, the guy who did it will make any shape you want, just draw a template and he will make a new sectionOriginally posted by Mimosa Stag View PostToday I replaced the wood trim surrounding the manual gearstick, this was due to the one already fiitted being the original auto trim, then came the problem, I have a rover vitesse 5 speed box and having fitted the manual trim I am no longer able to engage reverse! has anyone else experienced this and did they come up with a modification?
