A big thumbs up to Parts Suppliers

    Hi everyone.

Just thought i'd big up the three parts suppliers I called yesterday for a fair amount of things. Didn't call any of them until after 2pm yesterday and everything has just turned up.

So thank you to Paddocks, LD Parts and Wins International.

Lots of things to do over the weekend now.

    Cheers

    Steve

All cooling system parts really. New stainless heater pipe and rad pipe. Choke cable, Bits of hose and gaskets here and there. Parts for my header tank i'm going to plumb in. Plus the thing i'm looking forward to doing the most.......Hard top windows as side screens.

        Cheers

We will all be saying a little prayer for you Steve with the hard top glass, let us know about the choke cable I know people have had trouble with them on here. Graham

To be honest, I cannot remember the last time I had to wait more than a day or two for parts from any of the suppliers that I use, primarily Ldparts, Rimmers and Paddocks. I think they all provide an excellent delivery service.

Las thing I bought was these lamp gaskets from Ldparts, delivered next day. Worth a look as they seem to be very good quality (not fitted yet) and I don't think they will stay at this price for long (£6.00+vat).

I ordered some parts from Rimmers online on Sunday, they shipped on Monday and were here at my front door in Columbus, Indiana, USA this evening (Wednesday). I thought they had retired Concorde!

              Cheers,

i will put Aldridge Trimming on guys, i bought carpets and seat foams, they all fitted as they should, quality was good, very little trimming on the seat foams, well just one small piece, carpets were a little oversize, which was good as i suppose not all out cars are exactly the same, trimming was required in some areas. stout stanley blades work well here.
the kick plate panel in the back, about half an inch off each end, the sill carpets trimmed around the door aperture, by the A post, and i had to put 2 holes in the carpet over the transmission tunnel, one for the seat belt buckle and one for the screw under the ash tray.

just a tip guys, as you lay the carpet punch a screwdriver through the carpet where the bolt holes are, and leave it in, makes finding the holes eaiser, also you will have the door seal off so mark the top of the sill where the seal fits, with a marker opposite the holes for the carpet trim, saves poking around with a small screw driver.

The hard top windows as side screens is probably the best and easiest mod I've done. Very little whining from the kids in the back now!
