    "Nuts" (more nut questions)

    Hi Guy's and fonts of all knowledge, I,ve been painting my Nuts, and have notice that i seem to have three different types, so was there mk 1 nuts and mk2 and are the after maket nuts differerent?.

    I take it nobody knows about the wheel nut differences?, come on boys

      Hi
      The original wheel nuts were aluminium, the aftermarket are steel as far as I know. Am sure someone will be along with more info in a minute

        Sorry if this sounds nuts but...

        I dont know about your nuts!!

        I only know the nuts I took of my steel wheels were totally different from those in your picture. So I guess your nuts are from alloy wheels!

        I do also know that the Dolomite sprint alloy wheels were originaly fitted with alloy nuts... This was totally nuts as the undoing an ddoing up of wheel nuts ruined thje alloy threads. So some clever after market person decided that steel was a better option. I dont know if this was also the case with Stag alloy wheels / nuts.
