Add mine to that of Shaun. Excellent day out and to put more faces to names.

Nice to see the stags in fine form up the hill (especially Sean, John & Kevin)

Brilliant day. Nice to see some enthusiastic driving among the hotter cars to balance out the more pedestrian. Loved the Spitty with the picnic basket on the boot rack .

Great to meet so many: Stustag, Monstag, Sax Player, Koy23, Stagdad (all too briefly but he was getting ready to ride shotgun with Monstag in the cavalcade). Sorry didn't see Tim.

Guess I should email to its previous owner a copy of the video my daughter took of my Stag . Certainly blew out a few cobwebs with 240-mile round trip plus the hill. The car is running much smoother now. Maintained a steady 70 most of the way there and back and averaged 23 mpg over the tankfull. Not bad for an auto, but will have another tweak with the carbs this week.

          Roll on National Day!

That Lads is not a GT6 , It is a 1964 Le mans Spitfire ! and is due to be racing at le mans classic this year , in about 7 weeks, and , It better be fixed soon because im one of the pit crew !

              What a blast.

Probably one of the best days out we have ever had in a Stag. Great to meet up with some more Forum members; Stagdad, Stustag, DJT, Kevin Garrod, Koy23, Tim Shoubridge, Saxplayer.

Wonderful to see all the different Triumphs going up the hill, kept it really interesting - even for my four year daughter, she loved the racing ones best - lots of noise. I can see why the National Day held here a few years ago was such a success (shame we missed it- but made today all the more special).

Hope you enjoyed your ride Steve and look forward to seeing everybody at Brands Hatch.

Looking forward to seeing some of the footage you guys captured. I bought one of the photos they were selling taken from the track side - great momento of a great day.

Just got home guys! Been to my sisters just down the road from Prescott, had a fantastic day and really enjoyed meeting people who were friends I had never met!

I really enjoyed all the differnet Triumph and loved watching Saxplayer and Monstag giving it large off the line!

See you all at the National Day in July unless there's any other shows we happen to be at in the meantime.

Glad to see everyone got home safe.

I stand corrected - never knew there was such a thing. Anyway, probably a lucky incident for the driver then, would have been a lot more serious on a fast corner at Le Mans. I found myself contemplating the condition of my hubs as I went down the motorway afterwards.
And for anyone that wants to expand their knowledge of Triumphs successes (or otherwise) at Le Mans, follow this link for the history of the Spitfire racers, and in particular the rebuild of ADU 1B by Jigsaw Racing

I can name 4 in Sussex. The 6 unf studs in the hub strip their threads.

Ditto to all the above comments! Great to meet everyone, long day for me 6.00am start and back home around 8.00pm.

I'll post some youtube footage later, bit tired now and I don't want to crash their website if we all do it at the same time

Must admit I didn't know that it was a Spitfire either! there were repeated requests on the tannoy for video footage of the car, but if no-one knew what they were filming.......

BTW I had the noisiest Triumph engined Stag

The spit broke a shaft , stags can have the nuts over tightened on the flange on the rear drive shafts , its a fine thread and it pulls the stud out of the aluminium arm, the shaft doesnt tend to break.

There's at least two of us on this forum (me and DJT) that would disagree.
