A great event which, as has been said, makes me proud to be British - just wish "our" politicians take note. The fly past was wonderful and Madness were the best think in the concert by a mile.
Does anyone reckon John Lyon / Sex Pistols were asked to appear?
There are some things in which Britain can still lead the world, this Jubilee celebration was one of them.

Peter
Hello everybody,
I can only second this, as I happened to be in the UK during the celebrations. My great respect goes to the royals as well, who withstood four hours of bloody awful weather on the Thames.
Watching from down here the whole thing has been quite remarkable. In such a cynical world that so many people were genuinely happy and proud to be celebrating 60 years on the throne was impressive. No-one forced them to go out in pretty average weather and join in. I guess we all need leaders to look up to and it's not likely to be self serving politicians who have no bigger ambition than to get re-elected and their heads back in the trough.
