hi what are the best plugs to use in 1971 stag

The trouble with asking a simple question here is that you'll probably get lots of different answers however I go for NGK BP5E

My personal experience of iridium plugs has all been bad I had them in my bike and in my Hyndai santamo (never in the Stag) true to say, nothing but agro maybe its old ign systems. Graham OH Ps I've got N12Y'S only because they were in there when I bought it

I paid the extra for Iridium plugs and car runs great - thumbs up from me. But I don't have anything to compare them with.

i'm running NGK's too, as julian and Andy are, i did try champion but i think she is a little smoother on the NGK

I run NGK BP5ESs in mine with no issues .

One thing to bear in mine with NGK plugs is that quite a few suppliers sell resistor versions for the Stag (BPR5EY being one example I know a couple of specialists selling). NGK themselves say to use either BP5E or ES.

I recently replaced my NGK BP5ES with NGK BP5E. Purchased from LD Parts - good value. Car runs fine.
