Does anyone happen to know what else (if anything!) the Stag steering pump and pulley was used on - aside from the 2000/2500? My pulley developed a giant crack this morning, and as a result the belt won't stay on. The car's a 73, but the pump/pulley are from a '71.
The reason I ask is that the Stag steering pump seems to be made of finest unobtainium here in the US right now.. I can get hold of a pump for $250, but as my pump is perfectly good - and I actually *can* get the pulley off the shaft - it seems to make more sense to just change the broken bit for now. Only problem is.. most of the classic car places round here just look at you funny if you say "Stag".. they either think they misheard you say "Jag", or start off on a rant about how I should think myself lucky it didn't overheat on the way there.
On the other hand.. old Jags are plentiful, so if by some chance any other car used the same pump.. I might be able to get my mitts on one.
