This I hear is deliberately done! The Psychology behind this being that the seller being " the poor chap " who cannot spell and people always having taken advantage of this, and other sob stories relating to having a hard life because of poor education and financial dificulties etc etc etc....
SO....potential buyers may think that the seller does not know what he is doing due to his DIM wit and is about to get ripped off on a potentially nice car for a super bargain price and therefore are psychologically coerced/ cajoled into buying the product...........well something like that.
Sukh.

Reason: consulting Rogets Thesurus
With a reserve (which may be too high) the chances are that he will not even reach that thanks to his main title (basically selling it as what the logbook says!). To be fair I have seen cars with terrible descriptions (basically stating the tax and MOT of the car with some very poor photographs and that's it).
I used to be afraid of selling cars on ebay (although previously I would have said I got what I would have considered to be the market value). I shall admit that cars I have seen sold via this guide do go for what I expected, if not more on the odd occasion ):
eBay is full of idiots, apparently. The site attracts a significant number of time wasters and other fools making selling a car on there a remarkably hit and miss affair. Well, so I am told. N
