Hi all, I am new to this forum. I started my stag today after about a week, left it running on the drive way, a shot while later noticed coolent on the drive way, I think it came from the over flow pipe of the expansion bottle, there was also a little steam from the exhaust. Took it for a short drive, ran perfectly, no over heating, runs at 90c. Ithe radiator is hot at the top but cool at the bottom. Checked coolant level which had dropped so topped up. What could have caused this. Is it something to worry about???

I wouldn't worry yet. Stags often emit steam from the exhaust due to condensation boiling off from the exhaust silencers. Have you flushed the cooling system recently? A silted up rad can be cold at the bottom, but equally if it was just a short drive you may have a stuck closed thermostat, coolant won't flow as such but the very top of the rad might still get hot. Worst case is a blown head gasket but you need to look at simpler problems first.
If you want to rule out a blown head gasket then frosts do a block tester which is a fluid and a test kit that samples the gases in the cooling system and detects exhaust gasses if they are present. Check simpler things first!
