    Door card material

Hi all. I would like to make new door cards for my Mk2 as they are a wee bit twisted due to water damage. The main panel seems to be made from hard board to me. Is it as simple as that or do I need to get something better.

Here is an excellent thread, I used it to refurbish/replace my door cards. Hope you find it as useful.

Here is a pic from the thread to whet your appetite.

Methinks I recognise that pic somehow

I was going to say that they are made from a type of hardboard and it shouldn't be too hard to make some up. I was going to do that when I saw that new ones weren't too expensive.

Good luck Paul. If you need any more advice feel free to ask. A good staple gun, bifurcated rivets and a plentiful supply of new Stanley knife blades are pretty much all you'll need apart from ordinary tools.

      Cheers

Replacements for mine were made from beech ply on the basis they would be warp resistent.
