My 1974 stags hood does not want to come up..drivers side seems loose but passenger side is solid.Up
till this it as worked ok.I would appreciate any help.
I suspect either the catch on the passenger side was not engaged properly or the spring bar has become detached when the hood was lowered.
I have been told that the hood can be raised with a bit of force, however when it happened to me I Think I just loosened the 3 bolts on each side of the hood and then pulled it up quite easily.
After the hood was up I just re-aligned the centre catch and tightened the bolts.
thanks for info..it turns out the hood is twisted but have managed to raise the hood and as you say a spring had come off.hopefully i will not need it raised to much this year...cheers Tom

Hi Tom
The current weather forecast suggests the hood may be going up and down like a yoyo.
If you put the spring back into position and make sure both the hood clips are firmly in position when lowering the hood hopefully you will be ok.
For repairs and advice I can recommend V Mad on this forum.
