    chrome trims

    Hi guys

What do you fit your front and rear chrome trims and horseshoes on with, do you put anything on the bodywork, ie grease, silicon or some other sealer or do you just rely onthe clips,

    Thanks

Don't use grease, they will keep slipping off! Have you got the proper clips, if not get some and probably twice as many as recommended! You could put some silicone in, or seal the top edges, the trick is not to trap water in. I haven't put anything on mine except waxoyl, based on the fact that it rarely gets wet and then I can be sure the water runs out.

I've fitted the trims using the standard clips, then squirted in that Bilt-Hamber Dynax spray and let it set for a day- finally plugged the top gap with Dum-Dum to stop water entering the top surface.

Strangely enough I used to get water in the boot that came out from the boot lid frame up until I did this to the rear trims, so it must have some effect!

        Mick,

Be very careful when pushing the new horseshoes on,they can chip all the paintwork.
