Hood frames - were they all the same.

Hi all,

My 1975 hood frame is in need of repair as it will not behave when stowing of deploying. Some previous owner has twisted it and without knowing what bends are supposed to be in it it would be difficult to work out what needs straightening. It will not sit under the tonneau cover on one side properly/

I have fitted lots of new bolts etc from a well known company but although it moves more easily it still misbehaves. It seems to be twisted.

So the question is will a 1972 frame fit in a 1975 car and are the hoods the same? I will be salvaging the existing hood as it is OK to re-use.

The hoods for early and late cars are slughtly different but are interchangeable. To work out the correct shapes, comparing left side with right side sometimes helps.
