PGC 745K - anyone know any history on this car?

Hi all, just about to buy the above car, currently listed on Ebay. The car was unused for 10 years and then was purchased and refurbished by the guy I am purchasing from. As far as I can see it is in good condition, paintwork not perfect, nor are the bumpers, but nothing untoward.
V8 has good oil pressure at 20psi idle and just under 50 at 2k rpm. Drives really nicely.
The mileage is low at 18k, but suspect that it is 118k as how old the vehicle is. Anyone know any more history at all?
    Thanks in advance Nigel
    Update - bought it!

This registration was first registered during the period August 1971 to July 1972.
The registration was first registered in London.

Yes thats the one on Ebay. Just completed an AA data check, all clear. But still can't work out why it was first registered in 1993 (import?) or free tax. Unfortunately current owner doesn't know as previous keeper deceased.

Is that the sort of thing an HPI check would pick up?

Yes I bought it. HPI was fine and my mechanic gave it a clean bill of health and wanted to buy it as well! Picking up on Monday, so hoping it is at least dry for the run around the M25 to home. Car was originally pimento red, but repainted french blue by the previous owner. Has had an engine rebuild as well. no oil leaks at all from underneath. Looking forward to it, after all everyone has to have a V8 once, don't they?

Well done, it looks very smart. Enjoy the drive.

The colour is Royal Blue which was only available for very early Stags ISTR (haven't got the 'bible' with me). French is much lighter.

For a K plate it has had a lot of Mk2 enhancements: Seats, Instruments (but in a Mk1 panel; can't see if it has the Mk1 glove box lid), wheels, badges.

                          Enjoy!

Think it may well be a re-reg from a retained number - my old P6B was originally KPL777K and the owner wanted to transfer the reg to a brand new 216GSi, so it was issued with PGC684K, and was told that was a number range kept for number transfers.....
