    Horn relay - HELP

    Hi All

My car is booked in for its MOT on Friday. Spent the last few evenings doing various tasks. The final one is the defective horn.

Took the horn off yesterday and tested it. No joy. Took it into work and they determined that it had shorted out internally. New hornpurchased.

Fitted new horn tonightand it still does not work. Tested the new horn off the car and it works.

Tested the wiring to the horn and there is no current when the horn switch is pressed.

Tested the horn earth wire and that is fine.

The fuse must be okay as all the other circuits that operate off the same fues as the horn are working fine.

This leaves the switch or the relay asbeing the culprit. I have removed the relay and intend taking it into work tomorrow to test.

I have a spare switch but want to check the relay first before I disturb it.

Ifthe relay is defective can anybody suggest an alternative relay thatI will be able to readily purchase from a motor factor? I haven't got time to wait for a replacement from Paddocks as the MOT is 2pm on Friday.

    Hope somebody can help.

    Regards

    Bruce
