    He said WHAT????????

Just under the bonnet of my Stag on the front drive, explaining to a bloke about my suspected head gasket failure.

10 mins later back he comes with a can of K Seal - "that'll do the trick", he says, "better than new gaskets".

    Bless him .................

Yep, Plenty of us have used it! In my case not to fix HGs but to stop leaks around an ill fitting inlet manifold and other connections in the cooling system. I first heard about it on this forum (I forget who it was but they used it in a PUG with HGF and last we heard it was still running tens of thousands of miles later). It wont do any harm and if it works for you it gives you more time to save up for a proper job should you ever need it.

If you have any doubt's look at all the old threads on here. They also have a web site with testimonials and some videos on you tube.

Don't confuse it with other stuff like Rad Weld or Barrs Leak. it works in a totally different way, all explained on their site.

It may cure it short term or longer or at least enable you to drive it over to Russ !

K seal is good stuff for stopping the water getting out, but makes no difference at all if the cooling system is pressurising

That's what I suspected. However on their site they are saying for pressurised cooling system - drain cooling system put in K Seal and top up with coolant/water then warm engine to running temp and run for 15 mins.

                Not sure me self!

Might give it a go see if it gets me to Russ's

Indeedy, whilst it has fixed minor leaks (one or two hoses, gaskets etc.) for me in the past one or two cars it still didn't stop a kettle of a daily I had from blowing a hose off a week later and leaving me with a pleasant bill for a cooked engine (I suspect it was overheated prior to the purchase to be fair) .
