Water Pump - quick question

I've overhauled my water pump with all the best bits, and it's now ready to fit.

I notice that, if you turn it by hand, it doesn't exactly spin freely. It's not stiff by any means, but you have to turn it with your finger. The bearing was very free, but it started to get a bit tighter as the oil seal and then the water seal were fitted.

I guess that is normal, since the seals drag on the shaft, but a quick heads up on this would lower my hesitation threshold!

And me,I took it apart again as I thought I had done something wrong.
Put it back together double checking everything and still the same..
