Feels like cutting out

Hi,
Took the Stag out Sunday and noticed that whilst in traffic when I accelerate to go forward it stalled . Fired her up again and same thing happened..nearly cut off had to rev her up. It seems the revs just drop suddenly as if no power.
Happens now and then though, got the Weber not the Stroms........any ideas?
Last work I done on it was to clean the plugs and reset them to 30 thou instead of the 35 I had. Electronic ignition with flamethrower coil fitted.

Sounds like a check on fuel flow is in order to begin with.

Hi Sukh,

as Wilf has said sounds like fuel to me also or your pump is on the way out, have you tried popping the bonnet and revving it manually at the carbs while watching the fuel filter.

just a thought, i'm sure someone else will come along with some ideas

I know what you mean..I had a choice of spending the summer in singapore and Malaysia or here, was hoping for a hot summer this year but......
Never mind come winter and I will be off to singapore.

Sounds like the carb is flooding to me, one of the Stroms on the Stag powered estate did it today when parked up after a run down the motorway, it had fixed itself by the time I had got home (a couple of full throttle max revs bursts to pull the fuel, and hopefully the crap, through the needle valves
Fixed throttle carbs like the Weber have an accelerator pump to richen the mixture when you prod the throttle, makes the situation worse if it is flooding
Usual advice of unplugging the fuel pump and letting the float chambers empy applies here.
Before I fitted the efi I had a holley, that used to do it as well
