Hi guys,
New member alert again!
Bit about me:
Name: Al S.
Age: 28
Living: Andover
From: Cheltenham
Status: Married
Job: Software Engineer
Other interests: Motorbikes and rugby.
Just taken ownership of VLB 368M, a lovely little lady dressed in French Blue. History back to '88 but has been stood still for the last 9 years (prior to my acquiring her).
Fairly recent rebuild of gearbox and engine (in terms of mileage travelled, not neccessarily elapsed years
).
There's the odd bit of TLC needed to the interior and exterior but she's largely sound, I'm just currently playing the game of "find which gaskets perished in the last 9 years".
So far I've flushed (and back-flushed) the cooling system, am about to replace the oil but apart from that little is needed (cosmetic adjustments like A-pillar seals!). Given I work near Blenheim Palace and live in Andover she's going to get a good run 3 days a week too and from work (and the bimble at weekends if my motorike lets me!) and no doubt hit my c-card hard but the noise of the V8 is well worth it.
Cheers for now,
Al.
