Looks interesting and they do one for the Stag. http://www.quickvalve.co.uk/f110n.ht...l)%201970-1977

Just a matter of how much you value not getting too mucky when draining the oil - pity they don't do one to make refilling the gearbox easier

    Cheers

I suppose you could use it for refilling. After draining Squirt the new oil through a plastic pipe while the tap is open then close it when full you would loose a bit of oil that's in the pipe but it's got to be easier than the current method. I might buy one and try as my gearbox oil needs changing.
Just re read is the gearbox plug the same thread as the engine one?. If so the above would work.

I took a look in the repair operations manual. Engine and gearbox plugs are the same thread size.
If you try it, I'm interested in the results.

For Stag... and of course..no connections with manufacturer.

As Badenstag advises engine and gearbox plugs same size.

I've come across these before, and they do work, but, they only allow the oil to drain slowly and too much muck stays in the sump, not for me I'm afraid. Martin.

Also, don't forget the drain plug has a magnet for all those iron filings!
