Stag starter motor into TR7?

Does anyone know if the Stag starter motor is the same as the TR7 one? I know the solenoid is the same part number but the starter is a different one but looks similar. I know a guy with a TR7 and he might need a starter, I have two in my garage he can try but don't want to waste his time.

Ian I have a TR7 starter in my garage and I put 'side by side' with the Stag one and it looked identical so I have kept it as a spare. Worth a try - Alan
