Well guy's looks like some good news for a change. Julian kindly sent to me his spare OPG. I temporarily fitted it this evening and took the car for an hour long run. The oil pressure reading on the gauge never went bellow 12 to 13 PSI and that was at full running temperature and idle at 650 to 700 RPM. At 3000 Revs it looked to be at about 35 to 40.
I had not noticed that the needle on my own gauge when not under pressure was sitting way bellow the 0. It looks like that once the gauge was pressured up it was reading about 9-10 PSI down.
I know this will have been asked before but what pressure reading would you recon is acceptable while the engine is at full temp and running at idle??? What would you deem as acceptable??
