Temp gauge at 1/3 all the way, but it is only 5 degrees c today.

Notice from your profile you are an I.T. Manager - well that was my job before I retired some years ago, but I spent most of my time in Local Government with some of the early Mainframes from ICL. I worked with programming languages Plan, Cobol, Nicol, Fortran, RPG, etc., and it was whilst I was working with Computers that I was running a Mini-Cooper (original not BMW), and a Mk3 and a Mk4 Triumph Spitfire in the 70's. I will be in Sydney in December for the start of a cruise holiday.

We are in sunny Ballarat, Vic. (sarcasm). deemed to be the coldest place in Oz.
Quite a way from Sydney, about 9 hours drive in a new Falcon XR6 so maybe 10 in the Stag.

Hope you enjoy Sydney. BTW, my car was originally the same white as as yours.

Must say, when I reflect on my youth I can't help but feel how destructive the young can be.
At 18, my very first car was a 63 triumph Vitesse, typical at that age, drove the poor thing into the ground and then flogged it off for $50!
Couple of years later, found a Cooper S in a back yard and bought it for $25!, Quick respray and swapped it for a Yamaha 250 Road Bike. How stupid!
What i would give to have both those cars now.

I try to restore old 1950's juke boxes so learn't a long time ago the it doesn't matter if you treat thesze thimgs with kid gloves or abuse the hell out of them .... they will still come back and bite you!

Love the sound and looks of those old juke boxes - got any pictures - I remember one that I think was called a "Wurlitzer" if I have spelt it right.
Remember going into a cellar Expresso Bar with one listening to Johnny Kid & the Pirates singing "Shakin all over" which sounded great on a juke box.

Afters yesterday's no hitch run, thought I'd take her to work this morning.
Wilf, I did speak too soon. Do you think the damn thing would start, NO WAY!
All I got was Clunk, Clunk out of the starter, no degree of pursasion with a bar would get it to spin.

So it sit's in the garage, just waiting for me to get home and rip the starter out. Heard of this happening when hot but not dead cold. Just hoping it is the solonoid contacts and not a cyl full of nice green coolant. Pray for me please.
