Engine bay update

all painted and waiting for the bits to be fitted tomorrow, just hope i dont scratch it now, all bits have been cleaned also, can't wait to get started, a big thank you to SWMBO who did most of the painting of the bay, looks so much better, i need to clean the engine now!!

i thought the rubber was supposed to be like that Mart, it is the original, or has it gone off with age ?

looks better in the flesh, i'm not going to make Shugbourgh though either thats the down side, but pleased with the result

Thanks guys, it shines more in primer , thanks for the confirmation Dave, thought it was original, Julian it's your fault you know, i just wanted a little tidy up and then i caught your bug, one thing led to another, new bonnet pad, kenlow and header tank to fit as well tomorrow.

would you believe i have cleaned every bolt to put back in, the alternator,earth strap, new clips to fit, oh the list is starting to grow again

The stainless bracket with a new rubber doesn't come to much What are you apologising for ? nobody knows everything - except Russ and he's not here Martin.

Yeah, mine was just like that and it had me wondering for a while. I reckon that maybe it went like that in a low bake oven after a repaint.

As Martin said, not much for a new one - although maybe the 'textured' look could catch on. It probably will, now I've done away with it on mine
