Bilt Hamber cavity wax Dynax S50

Hi all, I am thinking of buying some of the above and I have a few questions that I am sure someone will have the answers to!
Are there any special application methods that may help prevent me from getting ths stuff everywhere that it is not wanted?
Can it be applied by a brush on the easy to get at areas?
How much will i need to do all the cavities, but not under the car or the wheel arches?
Where is the best place to buy it (Cheapest)?

    Many thanks

    Hi Paul,

i have used this, fantastic stuff, 2 cans should do all you need, inside doors, inner wheel arches, box section under back seat, in side sills etc.

it is very liquid when sprayed, wipes off with ease if you do it straight away and creeps into all the right places, it stain's clothes fingers etc so be careful and wear gloves. it comes with a wand so as you can inject it and also spray direct. It's a dark brown colour.

very easy to use, make sure you do all the bits you want to do in one go with the wand, you cant unblock it once it dries out, i found that one out. i have half a can you could try if you like, no wand though sorry

i bought it from there own web site as they had special offer on, oh and the wax is brilliant stuff too, bit expensive, but very good

I've used it extensively and it's brilliant.

I think, but am not sure, that you can only buy direct from Bilt Hamber.

The S50 is specifically for cavities so can't be painted on but they also offer a UC & UB that can be painted on.

If you try Alan's can, I've got a spare wand if you want one. One important tip - as the wand is about 2 foot long, wrap a bit of masking tape about 2" from the end, otherwise you get a faceful as you slowly extract the wand

      Cheers

Julian. Just the thought of that made me smile.........yes been there done that still got the stains!!
With that long lance you can poke it it into cavities you didn't even know you had
It is very good stuff dare I say that its much better than a certain other well known make, Dont for get to do inside the boot lid especially the back where it hangs out over the back of the car, this suffers with condensation inside and out as it often has warm air inside and with the cold blast from outside even on a relatively dry day you can often find condensation on the underside of the lid at this point whilst the top is dry.

I've drilled a couple of holes at the lowest point to allow this condensation to drain. Unfortunately, I think I did it a bit too late as I have some ominous bubbles

Sounds like we could start a dirty T shirt club

I think I've used lmost every Bilt Hamber product that they make - all seem very good, especially their cleaning & polishing stuff. Their clay works well and is pretty easy to use.

              Cheers

Thanks for the replies and the kind offers Gents, as always I am happy to go with your suggestions and I think I will dive in and buy a couple of tins from Bilt hambers web site and prepare my self for a bit of judicious spraying.
                Thanks once again

                  Hi Paul,

Top tip: wrap some coloured insulating tape around the application wand about 3" from the tip. This will warn you that you are approaching the end when drawing it out. May prevent you getting an eyeful.

I had no idea how much to buy, so I ordered - aerosols. I now have 4 unused ones! So i now need to buy 2 more classic cars.

It's worth mentioning, that you can tape the wand to a straightened out wire coat hanger, then you have good control of where the stuff goes, when it's curly there's a bit of luck involved. Martin.
