    electronic to points

hi, im going to replace my electronic ignition with a set of points, i'm assuming i need a double set of points or can i run it off a single set? is there anything different in the distributor or can i bolt points in and wire them up? if any one has a picture of a distributor that would be a massive help, thanks very much.

Can't help but think this is a retrograde step, why are you thinking of doing this?
Header tanks - you can't beat a bit of bling.

Has your distributor still got the original base plate to fix the points to? Is it in decent condition? Two sets of good quality points and a condenser will likely cost around £40 and if your distributor bearings are worn the timing will be all over the place. You can buy electronic ignition including brand new base plate for around £75 that'll provide stable timing and smooth tickover (without your tacho needle bouncing all over the place), more power and better economy.

The advantage of points over electronic ignition of course is that they'll always get you home.
