I've just replaced the fabric/foam etc. on my tonneau cover, but after hours of struggling cannot get the trims popped back on, all the rivets are in the same holes but although some parts clip on OK, others wont despite even when using a G Clamp to exert more force than my fingers can manage - any suggestions please? I know I can replace the little cup things but don't see how that will help much? I've checked the underside of the trims and they aren't bent. Apart from this bit the job wasn't difficult. Any brainwaves/experience would be much appreciated please!

          Dave,

Edd explained it to me in one of my posts if you do a search. It might be under 'rear wheel are repair'.
I only do what the voices in my wife’s head tell me to do!

When i did it the corners were a bit tricky, try to get one side of the trim lined up to the rivet head then just push the other side on,but make sure the under side of the trim is not bent check the corners

p.s i did replace all the rivets plus caps

did you have any trouble getting the small chrome trim just in front of the back seat back on ? i found that the hardest

Very much as said before. Checking the channel for damage and bending then as you go remember or lable which fixings clip over. If you get one that won't you can very slightly squash up the button lessoning the diameter by turning it slightly oval. It's hard work on your thumbs too. Sometimes fitting once to find the troublesome odd couple of buttons that aren't working.
Take your time its one of the most frustrating jobs on a stag.

Thanks for the advice gents, will order a few new caps from LD and re-tread my fingers before attempting this again! Certainly is difficult & frustrating! Re-shaping the awkward caps slightly might end up being the best route, hadn't considered that one...
