Yes mate, they're still readily available, as to where ? I don't know, though I could guess, I wouldn't even consider fitting one myself because of the complication of the polished trim, most Stag experts can arrange it (Wards etc.) and of course your insurance will pay. Avoid Autoglass and similar, good with bonded screens but bloody useless with our old lip sealed type. Martin.
I managed to get a decent new MK2 one secondhand for peanuts and it survived the postage too ! BTW : I think there were differences in screens over the years, probably mainly due to safety glass changes etc but they also differ slightly cosmetically, with some appearring totally clear and others with a 'greenish' tinge. You might want to check this before taking the plunge, otherwise if true it might look odd if there's a mismatch with side glass (& hardtop).
I've heard others have made the same tool which makes it a DIYable job, so unless I can get a local 'old skool' fitter on recommendation its on my list of spring 2013 jobs (including a new seal too). Either way, I'm concerned that if I attempt it now I'll uncover rust in the frame and then it'll be a much bigger job with the necessary remedial work - and I want to enjoy the late summer and autumn in the Stag
if you saw the way that insurance companies are treating people after the Christchurch earthquakes you wouldn't have any sympathy for the dishonest ba******ds.

Autoglass supplied and fitted me one last month, £200 all in (I supplied a new seal from Paddocks. I phoned ahead and specified I only wanted them to do it if they had fitters who knew how to do it. 2 fitters came and they did know what they were doing, although they did have to think about it a bit as the last one they did was 15 years ago.
I'm pleased with the job, and the trim fits well. (Mk2 seals are the only available ones now, difference being how the trim fits on, so be aware of that. Also I think only mk2 glass is available, difference being it's tinted).
Anyone know if there's much difference between green tint and Sundym. I'm looking for a new screen too many scratches and minor pin prick marks in the old one.

There are four different windscreens for the Stag, clear, green tint, Sundym and . . . . . . . . ? Martin.
I seem to remember that when my car was resprayed in 1989, the paint shop broke the windscreen. Autoglass pulled a fitter out of retirement to fit a new one (several tried and failed first). After he was done the guy that had painted my car had to call them back out when he noticed the window had a brown tint and they had to do the whole job again.
