    Pacet fans

    Hello,

I going to invest in an electric fan My nerves can't take it when I get stuck in a traffic Jam,My cooling system is healthy this is just a precaution. I have been in touch with Pacet fans and this is what they

recommended. Do I need anything else and can a novice like me install it

For your Triumph Stag we recommend a 16” puller fan complete kit, TCF1611P for £150.00 inclusive of VAT, delivery ex stock

Hiya, in practical terms, you can't install a puller fan, there isn't room, unless you rip out the viscous. Have a look at Stafford Vehicle Components site, prices are good, and there are two grades of Pacet fan with comparative figures. As to controlling it, that depends on how much you want to spend. Martin.

I just fitted a 14" Twin speed Kenlow pusher mounted in front of the rad. (looks stock unless you look hard)

Works perfectly, and the boost speed is very powerful. Lets you have a reduced current draw for "normal" situations, then go to boost if the temp rises a further 5degrees C from the nominal switchng in point. Easy one -wire manual override if you want it.

Mounted on the right angled ally rod system as I don't like the "ties through the radiator core" system.

I'm lovin' it. Perfect temp control.
Header tanks - you can't beat a bit of bling.

I fitted a small fan out of a VW transporter van which i had knocking about the garage, used 2 small brackets to mount the top of the fan to the back of the radiator bolts and drilled a small hole into the lower panel and fitted the bottom mount through that, simple on/of switch on the dash. Its not made much difference to mine as it was overheating anyway but would probably help keep it a bit cooler. Hopefully a couple of pics attached...DSCF5543.jpgDSCF5544.jpgDSCF5545.jpgDSCF5548.jpg

My Pacet fan is fitted in front of the radiator and it was pretty simple to install. The only mod I have made is to connect a green warning light in the dash (where the oil light used to be) that comes on when the fan starts so that I know it is working.
