    Clutch pipe

Hi all, I have just been trying to fit the Clutch pipe and for the life of me I cannot get it to fit between the two cylinders. The pipe is from Rimmers and is okay as far as the end fittings are concerned it seems too long and the shaped pipes on the end don't appear to be the correct shape/orientation. I have shown the two original pipes in the photo.
Has anyone had a similar problem, and should I consign the new bit to the bin and buy a pipe that will link the two old pieces together?

    Thanks

The Rimmers one does not look same as standard compared to mine.

I managed to make the Rimmers pipe fit. I had to adjust the curve on the ends slightly and I'm not sure that I've routed it exactly OE. It runs - in my case - below the steering column beside the wring loom where the front bulkhead meets the inner wing. Clearance seems okay to anything hot.

Hi Nick, can you remember which way round it was fitted, I assume that the end with the smaller pipe is fitted at the master cylinder?

        Thanks

          Paul,

I have an original one at home if you want it. But you'll have to wait until the 6th before I will be able to post it as I'm away at work just now.

            Hi Paul
I bought one from Paddocks and that didnt look like yours but did not reach as it was short.
I ended up repairing the original.
Dont forget it has a retaining clip as well that attaches to the bell housing bolt to keep it tidy and so it doesnt stray...

Thanks for the offer Dave but This afternoon I have made the damn thing fit with a bit of judicious re bending. It is as tight as a drum but hopefully when a bit of warmth from the engine works on it it may soften a little and find a more relaxed position.
Sam thanks for that little tip, I had not fitted the clip for it on the bell housing, but I have now!

              Regards

The shorter almost 90. Degree fitting went at the top facing outwards towards the wing.
