is the BW 35 inhibitor switch the same unit that also works the reverse lights - i,e, is it all in one? and where abots on the box do I find it?

Hi Ali, yes, same switch, with four connections. Get underneath and look about half way between the selector and its connection to the gearbox, on the passenger side, high up, you can't remove it from there, but under the carpet on the left side of the transmission tunnel, there is a large grommet that gives access. Haynes tells you to lower the engine / trans, but there's no need. Martin.

If you connect the 2 wires at the switch and they come on then yes, its probably the switch. you can use a modern blade type fuse to join them. There is also a slim chance that it may just need adjusting a little even though the inhibit still functions.
