    Phew

The car is in having the leaks sorted.

Yesterday, someone pointed out that k-seal should sort most leaks and perhaps something was pressurising the cooling system - exactly what I didnt want to hear or think about.

Spoke with the Garage and they found a loose manifold, two leaking hose fittings and two perforated hoses! Luckily, I had bought a complete hose set and hopefully that has sorted it.

Getting them to sort a couple of other things so, once again, no car for the weekend which is annoying as its a Goodwood Breakfast club. Still better that than having to have the heads off!

'On 10th February we attended the Stoneleigh Triumph Restoration Show
On our stand there was a lot of interest around our Silicon Water Hoses. In theory, they should be the last set of hoses you ever buy. Built to withstand70 psi, -50 degrees and +170 degrees C. (see pic). They may be pricey, at £141 inc. but we feel they are the best hoses available. Along with our Aluminium radiators you would have the ultimate cooling system.

Saw them on their stand at Prescott. Didn't see a price and as I had just changed to SOCTFL hoses, I wasn't really interested. They look good though, and are reinforced unlike those terrible Kevlar hoses that have been around for a while.

my cooling system seems to be generally ok. The originals or replacement originals have held up for a while, soI hope I dont need to change to something like this.

I saw the silicone hoses on EJ Wards stand at Stoneleigh. They reckoned you would never need to fit another set but they were 4 or 5 times the cost of braided hoses.

Following on from DJT's comments steer well clear of Kevlar hoses, they will fail without warning. This one hasn't been cut with a knife, it literally peeled apart like a banana skin as I removed it from my car. They are not even worth keeping in the boot as a spare.

Sorry Graham if I come across as a pessimist,I wasnt necessary saying you had head gasket troublejust that if everything else is aok and its only a dribble, k-seal should fix it.

With heads being skimmed over the years and inlet manifolds not sitting totally square on, it has become a common occurrence for them to dribble.I asked one of the stags top men how to overcome this and he recomended Radweld but as I find k-seal a superior product I have always used that.
