    universal joints

just replaced my u/j's on the inner driveshafts . bought them from rimmers. i found them very difficult to fit. i even broke one but they did reduce the cost of a replacement one. are they all as difficult to fit ? or are there good ones and bad ones .

If you mean are the cups a tight fit, yes, they need to be, but not to the point of breaking them! I suspect one of the rollers had tipped over out of place; this is a potential problem when fitting them.

Still got the Stag then, why not pop over to Woodcocks on the A57 near Lincoln on Thursday night, its classic car night and if your still trying to sell your Stag might be worth sticking an ad on the windscreen while your there. Bazstag and myself should be there weather permitting.

I had a new UJ fitted last Thursday Titanium made by Stryker went in nicely in the right knee but it will keep me out of the stag for a couple of weeks or so.

still got the stag yes . not selling it now . i know they can be a pain sometimes like mine has this year but when you look at how much they cost to keep and run they are quiet cheap especially if its tax exempt like mine .
i have had no end of problems with mine this year and it has hardly been used . i have had the engine apart for a decoke . radiator refurbished and new electric fan ann at the moment the backend is all in bits trying to cure the knocking. then when thats back together i have the carbs to try and set up .
i may try and get to woodcocks but i will be in my van if i do. been meaning to go for ages but it always seems to rain.
