Stag 40th Birthday... Another Deadline Missed!

Well I'd hoped to have the Stag on the Road in August as it was it's 40th Birthday but like everything else at 40 it's kinda going slower than I'd hoped! Still this morning (Sat) which is September here but critically still August in the UK I decided it should move under it's own power for the first time. So I took it off the axle stands and drove it out of the garage. So not on the road but on the driveway anyway! I'm now almost tempted to unwrap it as the wrapping is getting pretty tatty. Hopefully the post time in the UK will still say August!!

My wife wants to bring a saddle back from Blghty as excess baggage and we almost can't afford that. I wonder what air freight for a car would be?

I cant help you with the car but, try Googling "Interparcel" to help reduce the freight costs for the saddle.

Yes it's September in the UK now too. North America is still hanging onto August and it is a Federal Stag I can say I've met the 40 year old deadline. I suppose if I get a Heritage Certificate I'd get a more accurate manufacturing date.
